We understand that your pet means everything to you. These FAQs should answer many of the questions you have about leaving your Best Friend with us. And if you can’t find an answer, feel free to contact us. We’re listening with all ears (floppy and otherwise.)

Company Info

When are you opening a center in my area?

Best Friends currently has locations in 18 states. While we do plan to continue to expand our operations, the schedule for new pet resorts depends upon a variety of factors - from locating appropriate real estate to obtaining planning and zoning approvals to managing the construction process.

As plans for additional resorts are finalized, we will announce them on this website as well as to local press in the community.

How can I get coupons?

From time to time, Best Friends offers special coupons that are good for specific services and time periods. When you use a Best Friends service, you are entered into our central database, and become eligible for these coupons and notification of special promotions and events.

If you are not a customer, we encourage you to regularly visit our website for any information about exciting offers and events. You can also receive offers via e-mail if you register with this site. Go to the Guestbook section of the website to register.

How do you build your kennels, and what do they cost to build?

The safety and comfort of our pet guests is our number one priority, so our standards for dog kennels are very high!

It costs approximately $3,000 to fully outfit each dog kennel in our new pet resorts according to our strict standards. We use fiberglass reinforced plastic panels and stainless steel doors and window frames because they are sanitary, easy to clean and maintain, and stand up to a lot of wear and tear.

While the exact specifications of our kenneling system is proprietary, we design our dog kennels for the pet's comfort. Kennels vary in size (to accommodate different size pets), but are always wide enough so the pet has sufficient room to lie down and stretch out in his bedroom, and long enough to allow him to get a bit of exercise in his run.

Do you franchise?

Best Friends does not franchise. If that should change in the future, we would advise the franchising community through standard information channels.
