• European Bittersweet -- This viney plant, especially the berries, is toxic to animals. Symptoms of poisoning can include drooling, loss of appetite, severe gastric upset, drowsiness and lethargy, weakness, dilated pupils and slow heartrate.
• Foxglove (Digitalis) -- This garden perennial with bell-shaped, tubular flowers can be fatal. Symptoms of poisoning include vomiting, diarrhea, and weakness.
• Holly -- The berries of this shrub are toxic. Symptoms of poisoning can include intense vomiting and diarrhea, as well as depression.
• Hyacinth -- The bulbs of this flower are toxic and can create symptoms including intense vomiting, diarrhea (sometimes with blood), depression and tremors.
• Hydrangea -- This flowering plant contains cyanide. Symptoms of poisoning include vomiting, depression, diarrhea, increase in heartrate, and increase in body temperature.
