Febreze™ and Your Pets

Recently, concerns have been raised regarding Febreze™ Fabric Refresher and possible problems with its use in households with pets. There have been several claims of deaths of pets in connection with the use of Febreze™. In addition, allergic reactions have been reported. Nevertheless, the ASPCA National Animal Poison Control Center has determined that Febreze™ does not represent any risk to pets provided that it is used according to label instructions. However, they do recommend that birds be removed from the room during application of any cleaning product and returned only when the product has dried and the area has been ventilated.
