When dogs experience seizures, they're usually a result of another condition. Some medical conditions which can potentially lead to seizures include brain tumors, Cushing's disease (which can cause tumors), diabetes, and kidney disease.
If your dog has a seizure, the first thing that you must do is to keep him from being injured. Be very careful to avoid being bitten. Gently restrain your dog using a towel placed over him. Immediately contact your veterinarian as soon as your dog has been restrained. |
