My grandmother, an avid dog lover, once gave me this bit of advice: ‘Don't discuss your pet in mixed company'. It always seemed like an odd bit of advice, but I've found over the years that it's actually pretty sound. Say that you're at a party, for instance. You have a pretty comical story about your pet that you decide to share with the group. Right away you'll be able to tell the pet owners, and even the past pet owners, from those who have never had a pet. It's much like parents discussing their children with people who don't have kids. They just don't get it.

So we decided to provide a place where you can share your cat tales, dog tales, and other pet tales with people who are sure to appreciate them. To start it off, we've provided some ‘pet tails' that we've heard told over the years.
