We offer a wide variety of dog training classes to fit dogs from puppyhood to adult. Our unique Board & Train program allows your pet to have one-on-one training while he stays the night. Imagine, going away and coming back to a dog who no longer eats your shoes!
Our training techniques, taught by experienced instructors, are always positively reinforced. And class sizes are small, ensuring your pet gets the attention he or she deserves.

About Our Trainer:
Kimberly Mandel is a professional trainer with 15 years of experience working with owners and their dogs. She has worked with puppies through adults, in all AKC-recognized breed groups. Owners learn to manage behavior, establish a balanced relationship, and train their dogs to respond reliably to visual and verbal cues.
RatesAges 2– 11 months Limited to seven dogs, owners gain knowledge and insights into their dogs’ behaviors and cognitive abilities for lifetime management. The class focuses on practical problem-solving and setting the dog up for success. Owners learn to gain the dog’s respect by positioning themselves as benevolent leaders and the keepers of all valuable resources. This training program highlights techniques to re-direct undesirable activities and reinforce polite, calm behaviors. Several examples are: an attention cue, impulse control, loose leash walking, and the recall. A controlled playtime is included.
$185 for 6 weeks – 1 hour/week
Ages 1 Year and Older This levels class accommodates owners regardless of prior training experience. Limited to seven dogs, owners will learn to read their dogs’ signals, while teaching cues for a well-mannered dog. The program includes cues such as wait, stay, loose leash walking, and the recall. Engaging the dog’s “motivators”, owners will achieve reliability, gradually adding the 3 D’s: distance, duration, and distractions. This class offers owners opportunities to solve specific problems, such as attention-seeking behaviors, unruliness, and excessive barking.
$185 for 6 weeks – 1 hour/week
A more harmonious relationship develops, when owners understand their dog’s temperament (personality) traits. Integration into the home is smoother and less stressful for everyone. Owners learn what their dog’s temperament traits are and how they affect behaviors. This knowledge is valuable for successful training and management.
$85 per hour on site, $125 per hour off site
Resolve behavior problems while your dog boards with us. He will receive a one-on-one session each full day to address particular issues. Board and train can effectively “re-tool” behavior, while saving time for owners. Initial consultation and an exit de-briefing are included to ensure that appropriate behaviors continue at home.
$550 per week, $1050 for 2 weeks
One-on-one training sessions are available, either in the owner’s home or at our Center. These sessions may include teaching specific cues and/or developing and working a modification program to correct undesirable behaviors. This option offers an individualized program.
$85 per hour on site, $125 per hour off site
Your dog can practice training exercises while attending Best Friends day camp or while boarding. Pull out sessions are available to work on behaviors such as pulling on leash, wait, stay, and jumping. Initial consultation and an exit de-briefing are included to ensure that appropriate behaviors continue at home.
