Puppy Training

Preparing for Puppy Training

Training your puppy will be a process that will last for a few months. It is extremely important that you train your puppy to behave correctly. If not, he’s likely to cause you a great deal of problems in the future. The first thing you need to do when your puppy arrives is to have his stuff ready, such as his bed, a room with the floor covered in paper, collar, leash, a food and water bowl, toys, and so on. During the first weeks, place your puppy in the room you have set up for him with all of his belongings.

It is very important to stress that whatever is learned during puppy hood will mark your dog’s behavior for the rest of his life. This is the time when your dog needs to be crate trained, fully vaccinated, socialized, placed into obedience classes, and so on. Therefore, make sure that you can devote enough time to your new puppy. Also be sure to set up an appointment with a veterinarian who will be the one who will guide you with your dog’s health and proper nutrition.
