Puppy Training

Teaching Your Puppy To Walk Correctly

Training your dog to learn to walk nicely next to you is a step that will allow you to take your dog outside for a nice walk around a park or your own neighborhood. While walking, many dogs develop the habit of pulling against the leash. If this happens, you must be prepared to know how to stop this habit. When going for a walk, your dog should always have a collar and a leash. If your dog begins to walk faster than you and starts pulling you, you should immediately stop this tendency from continuing. One way to correct this behavior is to, once your dog has passed you and is beginning to pull you forward, turn around so as to leave your dog behind you.. Keep repeating this same technique of turning around for every time your dog begins to pull, until his habit is completely gone.
