The Old English Sheepdog is a seasonally heavy shedder with a long, coarse coat. Frequent and thorough grooming is needed to prevent mats, tangles and skin problems. Brush at least three times per week, and keep the hair around the eyes and rear-end trimmed. Many owners prefer to have this breed machine-clipped every two months or so.
