Easter Lilies Are Toxic To Pets

Easter lilies are a spring-time favorite, but if you've got a pet you might want to reconsider. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center has named these one of the top five deadliest plants for pets. The Easter Lily and other lilies like the Asian Lily, the Glory Lily, the Japanese Show Lily, the Red Lily, the Rubrum Lily, the Stargazer Lily, the Tiger Lily and the Wood Lily are highly toxic to cats. Ingestion of these plants can produce vomiting, inappetence, lethargy, and kidney failure.

Other plants that are also harmful to pets include azaleas, oleander, sago palms, and castor beans.
