Choosing a Name for Your New Cat
Choosing a name for your new cat can be difficult simply because there are so many names to choose from. When selecting a name, however, there are some things to consider. First, cats can better learn names that are only one or two syllables. Also, cats, like dogs, tend to react better to names that end in ‘y' or ‘ie', such as Maggie. Remember, too, that whatever you name your cat, you will be saying that name over and over for years. Long, complicated names may get tiresome and silly names may be somewhat embarrassing to call out loud. Likewise, if you're naming a kitten, remember that her personality and appearance will change as she gets older.
