Q Can cats get tapeworms?
A

Cats can get tapeworm, an internal parasite. If you see white or cream bits that look like rice around your cat's rectum, in his hair, on his bedding or in his stool, these can be the tapeworm egg sacs being shed. Treatment for tapeworm involves a tapeworm dewormer as well as flea control since this parasite is often spread by fleas.
