Q I've seen sites on the Internet that sell vaccines that you can give to your cat yourself at home. Is this safe?
A

Hmm, vaccines over the Internet… Maybe you're looking to save a few bucks or skip the trip to the vet, but we strongly recommend playing it safe and leaving it to the professionals. For starters, vaccines need to be handled and administered properly, and your vet is likely better equipped than you to do so. More importantly, you can never be entirely certain that the vaccines themselves are safe since you don't know where exactly they've come from or how they've been manufactured.
