Q What causes a cat to constantly scoot its behind against the ground?
A

Scooting is usually a sign of full anal sacs. A cat will scoot its behind along the ground or lick its anus to eliminate the contents of these sacs, but your veterinarian can also drain the sacs if this does not work. Diarrhea can also cause a cat to scoot its behind along the ground in an attempt to clean itself.
