Q My cat keeps rubbing her butt against the floor. Should I be concerned about this?
A

If your cat is rubbing her behind against the floor, or ‘scooting', it can be a simple sign of diarrhea or a more serious sign of full anal sacs. If she's also licking around her anus, she may be trying to eliminate the contents of the anal sacs, another sign of full anal sacs. You should take her to your veterinarian who will be able to drain the sacs if necessary.
